Aviation and airport security preparedness is a critical concern for any country and is especially important during major events that draw worldwide media attention. As Beijing and China will be hosting the Olympic Games for the first time, the need to ensure safety and security at critical infrastructure points, such as airports, is a vitally important strategic responsibility and has impacts on the economic vitality of the region. This one and a half day intensive workshop is designed to create a platform for aviation and airport officials from China, the region and the U.S. to share knowledge and best practices in the areas of aviation and airport security preparedness.
