Meeting of Local Authorities at MERCOSUR Presidential Summit

CIFAL Atlanta delivered its first "Meeting for Local Authorities" as part of the framework for the MERCOSUR Presidential Summit held in Cordoba, Argentina.

Supported by MERCOSUR (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela), FLACMA, the Federation of Municipalities of Argentina (FAM) and the OAS, more than 50 participants attended the meeting that was inaugurated by the President Pro-Tempore of the Summit, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, H. E. Jorge Taiana and Julio Pereyra, president of FLACMA.

In an effort to increase the visibility of Latin American local authorities in all high-level (Presidential and Ministerial) hemispheric and regional meetings, CIFAL Atlanta has designed a strategy that works with organizers to produce meetings for local authorities that fit into their framework process.
