Participants Resolution

Participants of the Free Trade: Opportunities and Threats workshop held in Atlanta Hilton, Atlanta USA on April 20-22, 2005 adopted the following Resolution:

Be it resolved that in keeping with the recommendations emanating from the various workshop presentations, CIFAL Atlanta will arrange a minimum of three similar workshops in the Caribbean Region to train Local Government representatives, administrative staff and other relevant groups. This would enable the participants to better disseminate the information on these vital developments that affect the lives of all the people in our Community. Be it further resolved that it is proposed that the CSME Unit in Trinidad and Tobago, which has facilitated the attachment of officers from other CARICOM Member States and therefore built some capacity, to work along with the CARICOM Secretariat, and with CIFAL to assist in the training sessions in Trinidad and Tobago as well as the rest of the Region.
