Collaboration with the UN International Center for Training of Local Authorities (CIFAL)

September 2005 – On September, 2005, the SEDI and the UN International Center for Training of Local Authorities of Atlanta (CIFAL-Atlanta) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The MOU aims at promoting the collaboration of both institutions in the strengthening of governmental institutions at the local level through training, technical assistance and horizontal cooperation. Dr. Brian J.R. Stevenson,

Ph.D., Executive Secretary of SEDI and Mr. Axel LeBlois, Executive Director of CIFAL, Atlanta commented on their high expectations for this joint collaboration, especially since CIFAL already contributes in the dissemination of SEDI’s training courses on cadaster management.
