Chinese aviation experts look to Hartsfield
October 2006—Fresh on the heels of two visits to China by Atlanta leaders, nearly 30 Chinese aviation officials will visit Atlanta on Oct. 29. United Nations establishes international training center in Atlanta
September 2004—The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) announced today the establishment of a CIFAL (Centre International de Formation des Acteurs Locaux) Centre in Atlanta, the only North American UNITAR training facility. The centre, located at midtown Atlanta's Technology Square, will serve as a hub for knowledge and resource sharing between local authorities, national governments, international organizations, the private sector and civil society to expand economic and social opportunities throughout North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
