José Ignacio González Hemisphere Trade Services, Inc.98 Mitchell Street Atlanta, GA 30303 T: +1 404 880 0015 F: +1 404 223 6910 jgonzalez@cifalatlanta.org José Ignacio González is the President of Hemisphere Trade Services, a nonprofit, public-private partnership formed by the State of Georgia, City of Atlanta, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Georgia Department of Economic Development. He was appointed in August 2003 by Governor Perdue to lead the campaign to attract the permanent Secretariat of the Free Trade Area of the Americas to the State of Georgia. González is the Immediate Past Chairman of Summit Bank Corporation and Past Vice Chairman of The Summit National Bank. Mr. González has been a director of the Summit Bank Corporation since April 1998. He is Chairman of the Executive Committee and also serves on the Loan, Audit, Compensation, Nominating, and Credit Risk Committees. González currently serves on the Advisory Board of The Carter Center, and on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Georgia Foreign Trade Zone. He is the Past-President and CEO of PanAmerican Logistics, LLC and Perishables Group International JV, LLC, and is a founding partner of PanAmerican Transport, LLC. González also served as the first Executive Director of the Atlanta Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and on the national board of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, as well as Chairman of the Dekalb Chamber of Commerce. González received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Purdue University and his Masters in Business Administration from Mercer University. |
